Description
The Lu are a very small ethnic group located in La Chau province in Northern Vietnam. They belong to the Tai-Kadai language family.
The most distinctive visual detail is in the black colour of the women's teeth.
On this cd, you can listen to 2 flute players: the bamboo tube is inserted inside the left part of the mouth with every man having a flute of different size - the bigger one is called "bei ma" and the smaller one "bei boo". They play along with a man or a woman singing.
