Description
The Hadzas or Hadzabes are probably among the last bushmen - hunters/gatherers - in the world. In recent history they had to endure social and climatic changes, the invasion of other tribes who claim the land of agriculture purposes, the policies of the Tanzania government acquiring land for natural parks.
They are less than 1000 people living on the East side of Eyasi Lake in the North of Tanzania. They use 2 main music instruments: the "malimba" - a square resonance box made of wood with mounted blades made of metal - and the "zeze" - a one stringed bowed instruments. It goes along with singing.
